View Full Version : Looking for a Cherokee aka XJ

Looking for a Cherokee I can use for DD. I started looking at other cars and stuff, but I cant seem to buy a car. I look at Jeeps and I smile. I look at Hondas and I pee on them... I guess I am locked into Jeeps. Which is no big deal...

Anyway looking for a cheap Cherokee that might need some work, or no work at all. I have been looking at an XJ its a 1997 Country with 144K miles for $3100. Its very clean and seems well mantained. Just have to sell my Dirt Bike :) Let me know if you guys find anything cheaper!

Im thinking into selling mine if you are interested is a 96' SE A/C ( no p/w or p/l ) it has 150k and I will sell it the way it is , (5) 31's and the quick discos , it also has the chrysler 8.25 with 29 spline .
And you know the Jeep how it looks , it will need minor TLC like the passenger door drops a inch when open and a vib between 45 and 50mph other than that is very good , never got stuck :D ...I was asking $3500 but I'll cut you a deal .

my neighbor has a K-car for $500 and a late 90's (round style) explorer for $1000 that needs a flywheel supposedly

a buddy of mine has a 97 with like 70k on it for sale. It has 5.5" with bushwackers and 33's. Let me know ill get a price for u.

Hey Justin

I have one that is sitting here. Its not the best looking but It runs great for 1500.00 have a set of 31's that I am putting on it. Its a black 2 door with a black Interior.

Justin, saw this in my local paper, I know nothing about the vehicle or seller, just passing it along to you...AD reads as follows:

Thanks, but I am looking for a 97 or newer. Because it has an airbag and other safty features and what not. This is goign to be my DD from school and work and light wheeling. I am a YJ person, but I need something that can hold lots of stuff, be good on gas, work good, and I just cant get myself to buy anything but a Jeep now. I was looking into older Audi A4s and other older luxury cars, because I will NOT buy a Honda. But I just cant get into them. I need JEEP :D

justin 95 was the first year they put airbags in jeeps so you could get a 95, thats what my chero is and it has a drivers side air bag and abs

as for jeeps and good gas mpg hahha riiiiiiight

Its better then a Grand Cherokee V8 12 MPG not towing...

i get about 14 with 31's and stock gears when i first got it and everything was all stock i think i got between 16-18. nothing compared to my maxima that gets 28mpg lol

IM going to sell mine in this weeks , it has the airbag 96' the price is $3500 but if you want it I will let it go for $3000 cash ,let me know .
