Due to the recent bust at paragon, I am upgradeing my stock fender flares to wider ones. Thus i have all 6 pieces in great conditon! No crack, no scratches, there will be a fresh coat of paint on them before being shipped. I really dont know how much to ask for these, so Ill start out at $75 + Shipping ( or you can pic them up) PM, leave a message here or E-mail me at sdutter@hotmail.com if interested!

Due to the recent bust at paragon
i heard something about some bjma members getting busted coming out of paragon last weekend. Is that what your talking about?

yes it is, I was one of those members, they probably got about 30-35 jeeps, I had been thinking about replacing the flares for aftermarket ones anyhow, this just gave me a reason to do it sooner, and I am fighting the ticket, THe cops were sitting right outside of the gate waiting for people.

Sorry to hear you got busted.... How much is the fine? My tires stick out a bit too much with the new 3.75BS wheels so i'm sure i'll get nailed next time.

That sux.... I don't care for the look of big flares.
Guess each trip is going to cost extra $105.00.

Is there a back door out of Paragon? Must be a second exit somewhere some how.

they wont be there every trip, and i dont know of another entrance, but as much as i dont really care for the larger flares, i dont wanna be hassled when i got to paragon either, so ill make the compromise

Man Thats some bs right there. Something must be going on for the cops to sit right outside the gate. I would definatly get together with the rest of the guys who got busted and all schedule the same court date to fight the tickets. That should make the judge take notice!

i got busted last year at gonzookin for the same thing. they nailed about 6-7 people that day and mine were only sticking out 1/4" maybe. he had to follow me for 2 miles before he could decide to pull me over.

must have been time for the Fraternal Order of Police Banquit and the funding was low...

that is BS!!! I cant believe the people of paragon havent gone to city hall to fight this. Im sure it brings a lot of revenue into the area that keeps loosing it.

I was just reading this and it is messed up. I have one question though. If one was to get ticketed, the PA Police can only ticket PA registered vehicles, correct? The reason I say this is because vehicle laws vary from state to state. Just curious because I can't see how they can tkt someone outside of PA for the width of the flares if it is not enforced in other states.

It doesn't matter what state you are from. If you operate your vehicle on PA roadways it must conform to PA codes. Common misconception

then why dont the PA state troopers enforce equipment violations on out of state vehicles?????

ive never heard of anyone from out of state getting pulled over for equipment violations.

I am going to have to disagree.......

If this is true, then if someone that is traveling from state to state, they would need to alter their vehicle for traveling. I don't think any state can enforce vehicle codes or regulations like that. If that was the case, then no lifted vehicles would pass through Massachusettes because of their laws about lift height. I hear that they are extremely strict about lifts.

Basically what I am saying is that each state has it's own regulations about vehicles and each state has it's own vehicle inspection. Some states are not as strict as others. Over here in NY vehicle inspection is fairly strict but I cannot remember reading anything about tire coverage regulations in NY. You can not be liable to conform to other state regulations as specific as that. I am sure that basic vehicle safety is the same from state to state but this is a little much.

It doesn't change the fact that it sucks for the guys that got ticketed.

im pretty sure that isnt true too, im almost positive that your truck no matter what state you live in has to conform with your states registration rules. I know for a fact thats how it works with window tint, so im sure its the same for everything else.

the cop told one person who asked that you must conform to the states laws that you are in. think about it, In PA there is no helmet law for riding a motorcyle, but if i cross over into jersey with no helmet on i am sure as heck gonna get busted! YOu must conform to the laws of the state you are driving in! it sucks, butthats just how it is

whoever posted that is wrong, or else any truck with too much rust would get nailed too according to PA inspection there can be no visible rot, you only need to pass the inspection in your state if you do, the cops can go suck balls, you should def be able to get out of the ticket, if not i'd tear it up in front of the judge at the court room they have no legal basis showem the truck passed inspection and tell em to fuck off i wouldnt even give em my lic and reg if that was the reason they pulled me over!!!

F&CK THE POLICE!!

this is not wrong! i have talked to several police, and you must conform to the laws ofthe state you are driving in. This doesn not mean that a cop will bust you for something, but then can. When driving in PA, the law is that your tires can not stick out past your body line (flares) If they are, youcan receive a ticket. Just because not all cops choose to hold you to that and be complete pricks, does not mean that they cant. Like isaidwith the motorcycle helmet, it is thesame concept!
