wheeling&camping at the pines 28th

the 28 of may is an unoffical get together for tri-state 4x4. we will be camping at wharton state forest. it will be at the Hawkin bridge camp grounds. we will be meeting up at the atsion entrance around 10am. the exact time will be decided after i talk to badzook and xeon. this camp site is huge and is located on a hill overlooking the river, its realy a pretty spot. one update is there is a 6 person limit per campsite unless related. well i guess that we are all cousins :lol: also 2 rigs per site. there are outdoor toilets that my honey used and she said they were safe :lol: there is drinkable water there. the cost per site is $15. but with 2 rigs its only 7.50 with the split. i ask that if you want to go please post. also if you r going to camp so we can get a count. any questions please ask. my wife and i are going up friday night so if anybody else decides they want to do that also let me know. this will also be a family friendly event. any other ideas please speak up. this will be a good way to get more exposure for our group. :D

traffic, on a saturday? i think not. try driving around on LI on a friday afternoon. I've got to pick up a friend of mine who's flying in on the 27th at 5:15pm from JFK. :mad: have fun guys!

yoiu say meeting at the "atsion entrance"..were do u meen exacly...the ranger station? I thought the ranger station would be best becasue it is a big landmark that you cant miss.

there is a ranger station at the atsion entrance also but the ranger said we have to check in at the batstoe entrance for the site we want. dont make alot of sencse to me but you nj government. :? lets try and get the offical count by mondaythe 23rd so i can call in and pay and reserve 5 sites. if there is more then 5 sites needed you will have to goto the ranger station and get a site. its mamorial day so who knowshow many people will be there. also if you are coming down friday night let me know so we can meet up.

i wanted to avoid the pike because my jeep doesent like going more then 60 or 65...pike has people going 80+

ranger station atsion. that is the best place cause most everyone knows where that is. i will call in tomorrow around 4pm to the ranger station.[i dont get off work til then] that should give everyone enough time to figure for sure wether or not they r comming. i figure the easyest way for me to get an accurate count for the reservations is to have everyone PM me. i know some of you have already told me, but this is the end of the month closings at the land developement co. i work for so it gets insanely busy, so humor me please :lol:
