Hey I have an idea....
Carlisle All Truck Nationals...August 5-7
Why dont we do a group get together there. we can have the bbq either on the show field or at a local campground. ive been wanting to make that an over night weekend for awhile i just could not raise the interest.
its $35 for driver and vehicle for the weekend for non-comp/non-judged show field parking.
we can make it an end of summer gathering for pic swaping...parts stories...maybe a few awards for stuff like most broken parts.....most mods in a season...goofy stuff like that.
not to mention you have other entertainment there with other trucks to look at...swap meets...etc...
i dont mind organizing this as long as there is enough interest. may not be a pig roast but a day at carlisle should be pretty cool. this way there are pre-planned events you can attent...we can hold our own little shin-dig so to speak and there is stuff for everyone to look at or do.
i am going to carlisle reguardless...im entering the zook in the non-judged showfield...dunno...maybe judged....who knows...but im deffinitly going. i got rates from a local campground for primitive sites it was like $22 or $25 a night and within a few miles of the fairgrounds..
also this sets a date far enough in advace that people can plan around thats out of our control...
pre-planned event....basically means we just show up and make our own group and have a good time....this means all fees would be paid directly to the fairgrounds for admission (with the showfield entry fee you get access for fri/sat/and sun) and what not....it also would mean if you plan on making it an over night the fees would be paid directly to the camp ground....it would just mean the meal would be like $5-7 -person or maybe even cheaper depends on the amount of people..
you guys have any thoughts???? ya? na?
NOTHING IS SET IN STONE YET!!! NO MAJOR PLANS HAVE BEEN MADE!!!
