HE HE HE ...

With the purchase of the Badzook II I've temporarily blown my Zookin' budget....I'm trying to work with what I have lying around my garage just to get out on the trails for now. Funny, It amazes me just how much Zook stuff I had accumulated and forgot that I had....

btw how are you doing with your Jeep?? What's up with your engine??

bad

how in the world did you make it this long without a welder? lol. let's see, off the top of my head i've got a steering box, stock shackles, front track bar, sway bar, sagging stock springs, onld shocks, half a rear track bar, spider gear set for the front, clutch disk and pressure plate, front DS, worn, but servicable belts, spark plug wires, rotor and dist cap, and a whole assortment of odds and ends bolts that i've replaced as i went. that's about it though. and the list keeps growing.

X, you ever go through your sensors to try and get rid of that idle problem?

My bro's shop has a large Mig Welder.. I just wanted one for home so I wouldn't have to go there every time I wanted to fab up something.8)

That's what's holding me up right now.. My frame is ready for some welding... I can't believe how much went into the orig frame .. When you build it up over 5 years you tend to forget just how much went into it...

How many amps are you using??

No not yet. I will be tomarrow and Sunday. I might even do my Speedo gear ... LOL still dont know how fast I am going :). I just need someone to hop in my Jeep and ride with me for a little and fix all the vibration sounds. Just little rattles and stuff and fix that damn idle :D.

my craftsman is only 85 amps. so far it hasn't let me down. go bigger if you want to use the gas though. eventually i'll probably size it up. either that or make my OBW large enough to handle the thicker stuff. I'm planning on upgrading my alternator when i convert to the taurus fan later in the summer so I'll probably try using the old alt for an OBW then. I saw a write up a while back of someone using a 66 amp alt out of a late 80's waggy (IIRC) so I'm thinking it's probably the same alt that i have now. long as I've got the alt i might as well give it a shot. even if it only does 1/8" max it's still better than nothing if you need it on the trail. I'll still look into a higher output alt when i track down the fan though so we'll see. I know what's gonna happen though. I'm gonna add all this extra stuff to the engine and then swap to a 6 or 8 cyl and have to refab every bracket i made. lol. Maybe i'll just hard mount the extras to a panel and find a tranny with a PTO. mmmm, NV4500. ah well, more welding practice. :D

X, rattles are all part of owning a jeep. I swear i think mine is gonna rattle apart every time i drive it. cat vibrates against the skid, heat shield vibes against the car, storage boxes in the rear vibe, the home made alum cover that the PO put up front vibes, shift lever rattles, etc, etc. it would take a year before i could track them all down. put the top down and turn up the tunes

Yea I figued that much. But the other day crusing toa freinds house. I was stuck in traffic idleing 2000 :( and then when moving I heard nocking. I had no ide awhat it was. but I found out my tail pipe hanger broke and it was just hanging there. So if I cna get in contact with Scott and I goign to cut the old on off and fab a new one so it can hang to the Jeep instead of hitting stuff... :D
