View Full Version : Fog light suggestions

I am looking for some nice fog lights for my YJ. I will probally mount them on my front bumper...

Anyone have any suggestions. I have Hella 500 driving lights that are going on the windshield. Let me know what you have or suggest. Thanks! :D

another set of hella 500s i love them i have 2 sets......or the kc daylighter i have a set of those to or the kc 5x7s they are sweet......i would just go with another set of hellas........love em

yeah, I agree, I'd put a second set of off road lights down there if you have a choice. my rig originally came with a set of fogs there. i later swapped them out for a pair of walmart $15 specials i got free from a friend and having driven with both I prefer the spots over the fogs. if you want the fog effect, angle them down to about 15 feet in front of you. I love having them set that way in the rain and for when i'm following a passenger car close so i don't blind them with the headlights. if you can and are feeling ambitious, add a thumb wheel to the angling bolt or nut, that way if you want to adjust them up for some reason you can do it without making a production out of it. of course, it makes it easier to steal them so there's a down side too. anyway, HTH

Hey great idea, all the choices... :D Probally going to pick up another set of Hella 500s maybe the Fog version? Or should I stick with driving lights down there? Well with the lift its not really down there... its still below the headlights.

sorry, meant to say that they were spot lights that i swapped in. I'd go with the driving lights instead of the fog lights, since my headlights tended to drown out the fog effect. and that was even before the lift. the spots light up the road better in the rain when the headlight just light up what's further out. These help me pick out the pot holes and stuff that tend to hide in the wet road. HTH
