Just thought i'd throw this one out there for the jeep guys. They're planning on holding this years camp jeep in the Pocono's the second weekend in august. I've heard unofficially that it's going to be at Jack Frost Resort in Blakeslee, PA. just thought i'd give everyone a heads up so they can start saving now.

Camp jeep is an event sponsered by DC that they hold in different sites every year for only jeep owners. it's a about $200 for the weekend, but you can bring as many people as you can fit in your jeep. there's vendors, concept vehicle displays, vintage jeep displays, etc. kind of like wheeling trip meets tech expo. they setup a newbie obstacle course and let you test drive some of the latest models out there. they do lots of different events for the kids to, like crafts and games. and then there's the wheeling. i believe they break it down like paragon with the different trails that they do. from what i've heard it's a good time. I'd like to go this year.

not much info at the site but you can check out pics from last years event.

I think the trail rides are geared towards stock rigs. It's sponsored by dc/jeep so they want to orient new jeepers in stock rigs to 4wheelin.

yeah i was thinking that as well. been reading a few recaps of past years and it seems that the trail rides aren't that challanging for someone who has been off roading for a while. maybe we should plan on going to the jeep jamboree they hold up here in Monticello instead. the down side is the price tag (which is the main reason i have yet to attend). at 250 per adult, another 125/75 for kids depending on the age it's pretty pricy. if you're wheeling by yourself it's not much worse than Camp, but who doesn't want to bring a passenger. the trails are rated between 4 and 8 (10 being the hardest) so it's more challenging but for the price we might as well stick to PAP or RC. it's only 10 miles from me but it's still cheaper to drive out to paragon, pay admission, and drive back.

So how many members are planning to attend Camp Jeep 2005?

I am thinking of going, it is supposed to be a great event. Thinking of even taking my girlfriend to it (introduce her to wheeling).
