yes today was gonna be a simple day of finally replacng the ball joints..well that wasnt the case, i start to remove the driver side wheel bearing and i notice that there is alot of play in it..the passenger side bearing seperates into two when i try to remove it...oh great now i need to replace both wheel bearings and all four ball joints..so this sucks....a $140 job is gonna turn into a $400 job...anyway....then the press i rented from auto zone didnt have exactly what i needed to remove the lower ball joints, so i had to improvise...i took some 1/4" C channel and reinforced the sides and drilled a hole thru it so i could us the press for the lower joints...now im off to track down wheel bearings.... :mad: hopefully this day will get better...

yeah so no one had the wheel bearings in stock..i had to order them, they will be in on monday sometime...now im without a vehicle till monday

just a word of advice for next time, leave the hub nut attached to the shaft and remove the shaft and hub as a unit. break it loose first and then put it back on like 1/2 a turn tight. this should keep your hub from separating when you remove it from the knuckle. don't forget the antiseize when you put it back in!

yeah next time ill leave the axle nut on... but that bearing was really bad anyway...lol....so i orderd the parts to come next day...and they only get here today...and its mad cold out and its snowing...why couldnt they have come on monday when it was nice out...thats my luck...
