View Full Version : Grinders hurt...
Well installed my shims today. Everything works up to 40mphish because thats all I was able to get to in my street. But no vibs I am ready. Tomarrow hopefully I will be getting my new windsheild. Then inspection and I am wheeling!
Anyway about the grinder...
So after installing shims and testing I was happy. So I want to tackle cutting the extra length of bolt off the u-bolts so they dont hang down. Started it up touched it to metal sparks flew and some how I got cut. It cut a nice gaug in the thump and some of my fingure nail... I might have a picture tomarrow... if you are daring to look at it...
Its not all the bad, did not bleed as much as I thought it would. I am fine feeling alittle numb but I am good. Well I know I wont be using a grinder for a long time... well atleast with out the sheild on I wont. So who wants to cut my bolts down? :lol:

Bring her to the shop I will torch them all off faster than you can do one. glad to see you have no vibes now sen me a picture of it.

The cut is not that bad but its sensitive as hell! I hit it this morning on my light switch ahhh hell did it hurt. Oh well atleast it was not as bad as it could be... The Jeep and I are still freinds :lol:

the longer you wrench on that jeep...the more and more you will live to regret this statement....
my zuk and are are not on speaking terms right now after the last little incident....
i think its still trying to give me hell for putting jeep mirrors on a zuk...either that or its rejecting the soft top body like a bad liver (used to be a tin top rotbox)

Yea hopefully we will be good freinds. I been trying to work things out, by adding some new stuff little spray paint here and there little love. Got her a new windsheild its really nice to acually see again... :D.

mine gets jealous when i work on other cars. seems every time i help someone else out, something happens to the jeep in a day or two. working on my cousins brakes, my header pipe broke at the cat. working on my dad's exhaust, my rear brake line starts leaking. replacing some hoses on my aunt's car and i find my clutch for the fan is seized up. i just can't seem to get it to understand that the work i do for other people helps pay for my mods :roll: and yes, grinders do hurt. i got lucky the other weekend while i was practicing my welding. was cleaning up another spot with the grinder and nicked my finger nail right at the base. didn't cut all the way through it luckily but it reminded me to pay more attention to what i'm doing.

ouch...ya know it sounds funny but superglue works wonders for a thin spot from a grinder....been there done that...
and yes mine gets jealous from that too....i think it must be all the pent up frustration from me workin on the house lately and ignoring the zuk that its pissed off at me....who knows....maybe it just doesnt like me period...
my 66 bronco didnt give me this much grief...
