Ok i eliminated the death wobble, so now i dont -=-=-=-= in my pants. Now i have just a bad vibration i have a couple ideas of what it could be im going to list them tell me what u guys think it is if you think its something else also let me know.........
U joints
I might need to drop my TC
or new lower control arms
This is for a 94 GC with between 3.5 to 4 inches of lift thanx a head of time........

There is a whole lot it could be. If you want to start eliminating the easiest things first, check the u-joints by blocking the tires so it wont roll and with the trans and transfercase in neutral grab the driveshafts and check for play. If they are greasable grease the joints while your at it. look for dents in the shafts, that will give you some vibes. Also the shafts usually have weights on them at one end or the other-look for new rust spots where a weight might have been. We were all hitting some 4" thick blocks of ice a couple of weeks ago! With the brakes on have someone look under the rig while you shift from forward to reverse. See of the control arm bushings have a lot of slop. Also check the motor/trans mounts the same way. a little powerbraking usually shows bad mounts. Dont overlook wheel weights, I have knocked them off wheeling before. You could try rotating the tires too and see if that moves the vibes to a different end of the rig. To narrow it down a little does it vibrate under load? high speed or low? Usually you can get away without lowering your tc on a grand. Hopfully this helps or someone more familiar with grands will post up
good luck.

Have you done anything new to it that may have caused the vibes to show up or have they been there since the lift was put on?

if you dont have a t-case drop i would deff get that first more than likely that is your problem, get under there and look at your drive line angles espically your ds. see if you can spin it and see if it gets hung up at the ujoints
I have a few sets of t-case drops. If you want to drop by someday we can install one and see if it works. :) Let me know!

IM having the same problem ,this past weekend I got the 3" lift on , at first I thought I got away with the TC drop , but I notice that around 55/65 MPH I get a vibe , but only if I happen to hit a bump or something makes the XJ shake .....so Im looking to get a TC drop ,make one or I guess pay someone to make me one

probably u-joint vibes, get some 2* or 4* shims first and see if that stops the vibes.

It needs to get a aligment anyway so I'll wait to see if that's the problem

I have a new BDS Industries TC Drop kit that I don't need. It's for an XJ. $20 if you're interested. If you're going on the Group ride next Saturday I can bring it with me.

don't put off getting this fixed. my YJ had a vibe around 60 mph after my lift that i decided that i could live with for a while. a month and a half later my slave cylinder took a dump on me. it was less than a year and a half old. some 4° shims took care of the vibe that the t-case drop left. $400 for a $40 fix that i just kept putting off. if you've got an auto it might not be as hard to live with it, but it just goes to show that some mild vibes can cause big problems.

OK start with the usual source of vibs the driveshaft what kind do you have is it a cv style or is it a fixed shaft with a CV?
How did you fix the death wobble?
Or did you just hide it?

Just move your shop out to Long Island, you can charge a fortune and nobody will think twice about it.
