Just moved from Sussex County NJ to Pike County PA. I'm in Dingmans Ferry, next town down 209 from Milford. I'm in for a ride anytime if it's on a Sunday so keep me posted.

Can you get off on a Saturday? I mean most of our monthy rides will be on Saturday due to the fact if you break your daily driver you have atleast a day to jimmy rig it so you can get to work on Monday. Just letting you know?

I can get a few Saturdays a year off at best, and they have to be at the beginning of the month, and require a months notice

Sundays usually arent a big deal to me either. if I break the rig on sunday Its a good way to get a sick day off of work and spend some quality time with my jeep.

i have every weekend off. of course, sometimes i have whole weeks off as well so it's not as great as it seems sometimes. hey Bad, MY, either of you guys have room for a shotgun? i can't justify the full price to head all the way down to PA in my rig this month (next month i'm definitely gonna go though) but 35 for gas and admission i can handle.

that i can do. was planning on doing that anyway if one of you guys had room. i'll be coming at it from port jervis on 209/6. not exactly sure where it is but i'm sure i can find it. lol. cool deal. long as bigred doesn't mind i'll take you guys up on the offer.
the flag was like 10 bucks if i remember right. they had a couple different ones to choose from, rangine from like $5 to $25. i got the one with the pole and taped it to my CB antenna. worked quite well actually. forgot to take it off on the ride home and it never even budged. lol

Just continue south on rte 209 through Port and through Matamoras. Go under the Rte 84 overpass and it's at the second light turn left.
Your seat is reserved.

Hi guys Im writing because I can't make it to the run due to not having towing points and a full spare in my rig (this will get done for march's run) any way ....I may be asking to much but anybody has room in their rig for me ?? ... I live in North Jersey Bergen County 5 miles south of Suffern NY in Rockland County and close to RT. 287, 17 and 80 ...I can help with gas money + entry fee offcourse , let me know and I can meet you somewhere I will just need a safe place where to park for the day.
Thanks
I am thinking about dumping my freinf off at a gas station and let you ride shotty with me. But I wont have any room. Why dont you have a spare tire? Just get one borrow it off your freinds car or something? For a tow point just get the one that goes into your hitch. You only need one...

What type of vehicle are you driving?? Is your bolt pattern 5 X 4.5?? This is a Jeep standard size. This spare tire rule is meant only for you to exit the park safely and not have to leave your rig stranded...
Maybe someone has an extra spare we could loan for the day.
Sentinal, do you have an extra spare we could take out with us?? Even if it's got a bald tire it shouldn't matter..
As for the tow points can you rig up a strap to encompass the front axle as a temporary measure??
How about bolting a "D-Ring Shackle to one of the front frame points??
Just trying to help...

. But I wont have any room. Why dont you have a spare tire? .
I do have a spare but I got 31's and my spare is 215/75/15 , I thought you have to have a "full size spare" like another 31
As far as a tow point I will like to have 2 front and rear ( can't always be tow from the rear only) don't have a hitch either , and right now Im out of a job so I can't spare extra money for this things  ...
If not no problem I should make it for March's run.

well assuming it's an XJ per his screen name mine would fit. closest i could get to 31's though are 235's which is just under 29" i believe. I've heard of guys just saying that they'd borrow someone elses from the group if they got a flat just to get out of the park. go out and measure the 31's though, I'm sure they're not true 31's. and i wheel witha 225/75 as my spare for 29's. the size difference is minimal out on the trail unless you're wheeling something hardcore. the tricky thing with the XJ though is the unibody. unlike the wrangler you can't just bolt a tow hook or something to the frame for a quick attachment. you need the brackets to help spread the load or you'd be better off without any tow hooks at all. from what I've heard (which isn't much as I don't know too many XJ guys) Custom 4x4 seems to have the best kit out there. i think the kit is ~$125. the other option is a custom front bumper with integrated hooks/shackles.

You can come to my house or something. You can leave your truck at my place, I will drive you over to the dinner and you can hitch with bigred. If you need to. I would not leave your truck at a parking lot... :)

I recently saw a pic on the southjersey jeepers forum where an XJ was towed from a mudhole. A towhook was used in the front unibody frame and tore it up pretty badly. I see what you mean..
