Justin it was suggested in a thread in the for sale section and I think its a great idea and a lot of other boards are doing it and it seems to be working.

I suggest that there be no posting of threads in the for sale section without a location or price in either the title or in the description. If rule is not followed thread is deleted without reason. I believe it will cut down on a lot of posts that everyone is like ohh how much or where is it located etc.

I vote man law!

If people want to sell there stuff, they should have the common sense to put atleast a price. I can put a sticky up there, but it wont help much. People do not read the law! I dont think we need to go and delete them. Our board is not like JeepForums and so on.

It's got nothing to do with being like Jeepforums. It just makes cruising the for sale that much easier. Plus all it takes is for your post to get deleted once and then your like ohh wow I should of followed what the sticky says. Then when they post that same ad up again, they will put the needed info in.

I think it makes total sense as others seem as well. But I guess if you want to start with the sticky you can do that.

Is there anyway possible to make it that when you click the post new thread in the for sale section and you get the next page where you type your description, right above the title it says the rule about price and location. Is that possible J.

In my defense, the feeler i put up for the axles was simply because they are not ready to be sold (still on the YJ) , but was wondering what they could go for.

But I agree, Price (or even put "negotiable" or "Best offer") and the location in the TITLE of the thread.

Matt to add that functionality, it would require me to hack the board. Its a real pain in the ass when I have to upgrade with a hack in there. I will look around for plugins though. I like the ideas, I just dont have as much time as I used too. Scott is on the board a lot, so I guess I could ask him to police the for sale section.

Scott if we don't want to delete threads right away, maybe an easy msg on the thread saying either post a price and location in X amount of days otherwise the post will then be removed.

But its up to you guys, you guys mod the site soo I just threw the idea out there and will let you guys choose as you see fit.

Thanks for viewing the options guys I'm sure you'll handle it as you see fit.

I think I get an email. Or somewhere in my CP shows me posts that need to be checked out. Never had a post reported.

assuming it's setup like JF then anyone listed as a Mod or an Admin will get the email.

Ok you take the time to post here bitching about ppl bitching that you didnt put up a price yet you still dont post a price in your forsale thread? what gives? dont want to sell them? please delete the tread
