May sound stupid given the term acoustics and a Jeep Wrangler... but...

I have the interior completely torn out - not that difficult in a Wrangler - I will be doing a roll on Herculiner project first - then putting some type of carpet padding, then a new carpet - wondering if it's a waste of time to try and limit the road noise from under the jeep to lessen the competion of sound with new speakers... - I figured I'd do that and then build some box enclosures in front of the shifter for 2 speakers, leave the 2 in the overhead bar, and add 2 more in enclosures in the back - on the wheel tubs - with a new CD/Radio...

Or I can just get a 500 watt Radio... ha -

Any advice/suggestions -

Al

I had the Tuffy two 5-1/4 speaker enclosure that goes in front of teh shifter. I had two cheap Pioneer speakers and a 10" Infinity sub behind the rear seat. I liked it. I made a box to fit behind the seat and have enough air within Infintys specs. I liked it, just get an amp that will be more power then you need. It sucks when it cuts out. Hope this helps.
