Last I heard, Maybrook was closed for riding but now I'm hearing that its open again. Anybody know whats going on with this? I'd like to take a trip up there but don't want to go and have to turn around once I get there.

I'd also like to know. I have heard conflicting reports of a land developer buying the land and the cops becoming like the "soldiers" in the pits down the shore (if you've riden there you know how the cops tend to think of themselves), and I've also heard it's business as usual.

Anyone want to take a ride? I have the week off.

Tom, I'm going to visit your buddy Mike tomorow.

Riding is out for me this week. I run my own business and I'm the only employee. Unless you wanted to go somewhere on Saturday or Sunday. I'd be up to checking out Maybrook, never been there before.

I took your advice and got the BFGs over the Mickey Thompsons. Went for the 35"M/Ts, still got no rock rails though!!

Maybrook is not far from me. The last info I have heard is that the State & Local police ride quads out there. If they catch you they impound your quad and arrest you for trespassing. They impose such heavy fines that most quads wind-up going to auction.

I still see people going out there though and the perimiter trail along the highway still sees lots of use..... ( Might be the cops patrolling it now)

It appears they have built the Drury road up for Military use. Seems like they're planning to step-up Military use at the property.

I have heard of a few crazy dirtbike riders continue to go there and "tease the cops" they have yet to be caught and they've been doing it for a couple of years now ....

Nothing concrete to tell. These are just rumors.........

Check out this thread on a forum I check in on pretty often. It has some info about Maybrook but make sure you read all the way to the third page.
