Ok well after our first ride, I think everyone had a great time. I want to start planning our next ride! I we should plan atleast one ride a month. I looked at the Calendar and Saturdays are the best to go wheeling, because there is like no traffic going home (my way) and if somethign breaks you have atleast sunday to get it back up and running if its your daily driver.

Dates to vote on and please if you have any suggestions after the first ride. Please feel free to post I want these rides to be fun for everyone! :P

Dates:
February 19th
February 26th
Both Saturdays!

Edit:

Planning finished please read details here:

My vote is the 26th...

Just gives me more time if I need it to get my rig up and running!

Ok,

The problem with always on a saturday is that it prohibits a few people from joining in. Some of us have to work on Saturdays..

How about someplace different each time like maybe Rausch Creek for the next ride. This way we can introduce a variety into our wheeling library and as time goes on we'll be able to choose rides based on past experiences.

How about a Poll for Saturday & Sunday as well as Rausch Creek or....

What do you all think? 8)

Yeah Sundays suck. A 3.5 hour ride usually turns into a 6 hour ride. That really sucks when you have to get up for work in the morning. Saturdays work best for me. Hopefully I'll have my locker in the front for the next ride.

First off, I had a great time on Staurday. It was good to place faces with screen names. Everyone's rigs were awesome. I personally love lifted XJs and the few that were there were built really well. Good job!!! Anyways, Saturdays are always better for me but now my wife just went back to work and she works on weekends so that means I have to watch the baby. So basically, I will not know if I will be able to attend until the week of the ride.

Either or... I really would like to go to Paragon again. Take some of the other trails like the one that goes around the bottom of the park. Thats one of my favorite trails. Check out the river and the coal mine. But I wont mind going to RC its an extra 45 minutes away from paragon. What ever we decide.

How can people vote if you don't even know where you are going. I think you should pick a spot first then pick a date. I know that I can't go to R C because I know how long it takes me to get there. It is not that close for a day trip. PAP is at 1.75hrs for me close enough for a day trip. I would vote if I knew where.

I agree with that. HOPEFULLY i can make it to a Feb run without breaking before wheeling?!?!?!?!

Next time i am going to pull the rear shaft before flat towing... and hopefully noone will park at the end of the driveway again!! WOOHOO!!

i felt like i was dirt trackin slidin sideways. too bad i had to pry the seat out of my ass when i started to get under 6' from that Tahoe!!!

hopefully by next time ill have the fixed yoke and new springs in so my rear wont be rubbing as much. And by then i should have a permanent cb setup so that my magnamount wont be as annoying smacking on all those tight trails.

I'm up for either dates, but the 36th may work better for me. As for the place, either or- I definately enjoyed Paragon, but I have also heard Rausch Creek is great.

I am DEFINATLY in for the Feb trip. Should have humpty dumpty back together again or somthing like that! I voted on the 26th aswell. Im a HUGE fan of RC over PAP and its the same distance as PAP. Im much more familiar with RC too.

maybe this time you can pop all four tires? that might beat it or hit an ATV

02-05-2005, 10:28 PM
if i can get some work done to the YJ before then i'll be in for the 26th. as for right now it can't make that haul up to PAP, RC is about the limit of travel for the YJ :D

i dont know about tires...but if i hit an ATV it would be on purpose. last time i was at paragon and actually got to wheel, idiots on quads kept tryin to run in between, around, behind, and who knows where else around the group. they had no respect for the other people on the trails. they held us up one time for almost an hour and a half cause they were doing trails they were not equiped for.

they were tryin to climb some pretty good rock piles with a bunch of 2wd 4 wheelers. one or two of them were the raptor/banshee type too. they ended up winching evey one of them up the hill.

what a pain in the whazoo

maybe you should warm them about the zuk's top speed first  unless you were planning on wheeling the GC.

Why? It'll do 75 or maybe even 80 when it's on the flatbed... LOL

I wouldn't even think of driving it to PAP and then wheeling it all day and then driving it home... my Gawd.........

I'm planning to trailer it down for this trip... Last time I drove it down there I couldn't stand or sit straight for 2 days....

ahhh, forgot you had the trailer. could have used one of those myself the last time i went down. did it before i was able to balance my off road tires. 65 mph with unbalanced tires makes for a rough ride. lol
