I recently purchased a mean grean starter and I'm having a problem installing it. I got the front bolt out but the rear one is posing a big prob. There's like 6" of space to loosen this bolt that is on so tight that it feel's like it will never come off! Does anyone have a ideas?
PB Blast the whole area near the bolt. Then you will probally need any extention then a breaker bar. I would try an impact gun. But start at the weakested setting then move up slowly. You dont want to break the bolt.
Hope this helps.
yeah try what justin said and maybe 2 box wrenches looked together just to break it loose.. i broke head off one time it sucked drove around with one bolt holding it on for about a year(you know how i do)then fixed it when my trans was out haha..
Is the starter bad? If its not, and you want some help. You can bring your Jeep to my place this weekend and we can get it out. But give it some PB tonight for sure.

The prob. is there's absolutely no room to get in there with the exhaust and the frame in the way. What's it mean to PB blast?

PB Blaster is a penetrating oil that can be had at any autoparts store. buy a can of that(will be near the wd 40) and spray it all over the bolt, let soak in and repeat several times!

I got the old one out and put the new one in but now it takes like 20 seconds to start it, it has a really bad exhaust and the whole engine vibrates!
