Will the front axleshafts from a YJ D30 fit into a XJ D30?
Thanks in advance.
See my last post for newer question!
I beleive so. XJ might have ABS sensor ring. But the YJ ones should go right in. Dont quote me though :-?

Make sure that the axels are disconnect.
Check here for pics to see what disconnect and non-disconnect looks like.

Almost forgot about the disconnect. The stock YJ shafts are disconnected on the passenger side. If the XJ is disconnect then it will work. But if the XJ has straight shafts on passenger side, it will not work.

Shafts from a non disconect YJ will swap with a non disconect XJ,MJ,TJ or ZJ as long as the ZJ shafts are not cv boots.
Shafts from a Disconect axle out of a YJ will swap out with ones from a XJ or MJ with a axle disconect.
As far as abs tone rings they can be hammered off and on if need or not needed.
This should be the correct info needed. please contact me if you have a more specific question be glad to help.

Ok, did some more thinking on this one. The YJ shafts I have are alloy usa's that are disco. elimonation and have a larger seal with them for the larger diameter shaft. Now the seal on the YJ sits at the disconnect on the right side of the axle. The XJ has the seal at the carrier, so will this still work? or will the seal not fit or seal against the axle properly?

Is this kit to eliminate the 2 piece shaft on the passenger side in the YJ?
And then you are trying to use it in a NON-DISCONECT axle. Is this the situation you are in?

Yes, dead on. I am trying to use the axle shafts I bought from you for my YJ in my new XJ. The YJ had a disco, while the new XJ does not. Both are HP D30's if that matters.

If you measure the surface where the seal rides on the oe shaft is it close to the size on the new shaft? It should work but I would double check. Alot of the kits out there use the non disco shaft as the so called special shaft for thier disconect eliminator kits. So I think it will work for you, but I would just measure to make sure.

The new shafts are a larger diameter because of the higher spline count. I am going to borrow a caliper this week and take some measurements to see if the seal will fit properly in the new spot. Thanks for your help so far.
