Nice truck you will enjoy that one for years.
From my Dodge buying experience, a crew cab SRW diesel SLT like that will go between 34-38 depending on options.

Must be the Medium duty 2500..... The HD is rated for 11,500 but rides like a bus without a suspension :lmao: ..., I think the spring packs are too stiff....
I'll bet yours rides more like a caddy.....
That Cummins should get you about 24 mpg to boot...... Nice..... :wtg:

Working full time. Still living with the rents. So I dont have to pay for housing, which is a big expense.

Its a HD Ram. I am not exactly sure of those numbers, just what I had in my book. I will check the door tomorrow. It drives very nice acually, its drives like a truck should. I will drop by your shop one saturday morning. I am getting about 16MPG because its new. But I should see around 20 MPG once the motor is broken in.
They are LT265/70R17E OWL BFG's. Nice tires and should wear nicly on the road.
Thanks for the complements guys. I been researching trucks for a few months. Finally choose one, and got a nice end of year deal.

Nice truck. Those motors are great for towing.
Dodge GVWR's are always lower then chevy and fords in comparable vehicles. I know the dana axles used to be the limiting factor, but with the hydroformed frames an the AAM axles, the ratings should have gone up, but they only jumped 200 lbs, go figure!
It will tow more then its rated for. Seems like those fords are rated really high but I dont see them towing all that weight. I have nothing against Fords or Chevys, but that Cummins kicks ass and has 2 less cylinders.

As far as the weight goes the guy who delivered my ford drove a single wheel 2500 like yours with a gooseneck 2 car trailer behind it. he had my truck and another car on the trailer. He said he travels all over the US like that. Only problem he had was tires blowing out.

Yeah get the Edge/Attitude and some airflow stuff (air intake, straight exhaust).
Mine hauls ass!
Not when its under warrenty. Dont have any money or urge for upgrades. The thing has a shit load of power I have not even seen yet.

go for BANKS, FORD CHEVY AND DODGE will warranty all diesel upgrades using thier stuff. Some dealerships will even istall it.

that is true but their transmissions suck. Thats why I am going with the chevy and get the allison 1600 and the 6.6l d- max.
As far as your milage it all depends on the gears in the rear. I had a 1991 dodge 2500hd with 3:73 in the rear and it got almost 28-30 and my buddie had the same truck with 4:10 and he got 18-23 both 12valve cummins it all depends on that cruising RPM's

You won't have to go far, those hills around your house are pretty big!
I also agree with you about the upgrades, I'm not doing any to my tow rig while she's under warranty, plus I have not needed any more power then she's got.

wait till you hit 8 mile hill on 84 with a full load and the AC on you will be happy you did some upgrades

Where is that hill? Close to you or? I need a huge hill to hammer on the Cummins. Got to break her in with a loaded trailer :).
