Locker almost installed!!!

well after freezing my tail off last night for an hour and a half i got the rear axle dissassembled on the zuk far enough that all i got to do now is pull the 3rd memebr bolts and take the center section out and swap them with my one with the newly installed locker..

Nice work man! You should rent propane heater from Home Depot. I will tell you those things work wonders... Make sure you have somewhere were some fresh air comes in. Scott and I almost killed ourselves by accident.

well it was between 0 and 3 above last night and dumbmy me was out in an unheated garage till 12:15am.

result? MY LOCKER IS IN!!!!!! WOOHOO only been waiting a year for it. found out te wheel bearings were my problem all along so i robbed the shafts and brakes from a spare axle i had laying around that had great bearings and pieced it together!!!

gotta love no budget builds!!

Sorry I read this so late Jay, I would have loved to help ya out. I've been bored out of my mind sittin here at the house. What else do you have on the agenda? Also I am lookin for a rear driveshaft for the tin top in the back yard. Do ya got a spare kickin round?

actually i think i got half a rear drive shaft. ill have to look to see if i got the slip yoke but i got the other end.

the only thing i got comming up is a full spring swap to RUf/CJ's i just got the bushings in the mail on friday and i got the springs layin around the garage.

not sure when im going to attack this mod. i need to get my furnace hooked up and get some heat in my garage.

prolly not. I am geeting another epideral block on thursday so I'll prolly be sore as hell this weekend. It sucks too cause saturday is my B-Day. I am turning 21 again. :D This will be my 10th anniversary of my 21st birthday ;)
