hi i was thinking about getting a toyota 1990 deluxe short bed 4x4 for a trail only truck. the truck is in good shape i was wondering if anyone has one and how good they are off road ? thanks

If you swap a solid axle in the front they are awesome. The ifs limits the flex but my buddy has one with 35" tires and a set of lockers on it. He runs the black trails at paragon pretty well.
Here's a pic of one of the spots the ifs gave him a little trouble.

I like those toyota trucks they seem to do real well with the straight axles

I have an '89 x-cab with a SAS on 35's I will sell ya for $3,000. Would just need gears/lockers, bob the bed, add some body armor and you'd be set to crawl over just about anything!

Its an '89 x-cab, 158K miles (4cyl, 5 spd) SAS, dent/scratches all over and some rust but build up the axles and its pretty unstopable.
