Have you checked the Brake lines to the rear? Are they pinched or crushed? Sometimes the rubber line fails internally and collapses causing an internal blockage... If you can find and borrow a pressure gauge you need to test the pressures in the system starting at the proportioning valve. Most good mechanics have one... If you have ABS you might find a blown fuse in the Fuse box indicating a stuck or burned out solenoid... Have you been working on the brakes and maybe caused this problem?? How do you know they are not working???
Try posting on the GM forums. There's some good techs out there that may have seen this...

i am not getting presure to the back breaks. when i was driving i felt a weird bumping on my petal then it went to the floor i changed the master cylinder and blead the brakes. i was working on it with bigsub4x4 we also tryed to bipass the abs and it did not change the problem also looked at all the fuses they are all good. When we were bleading the back brakes it would work then slowly less would come out normaly on the 3rd try nothing would come out so we are thinking that it could be the proportioning valve no too but i will try to look at the lines again if any of them could have a pinch in them if you have anymore ideas it would help alot thanks.
