View Full Version : To Rick
May he rest in peace.
Rick passed away Monday, May 15th 2006. He was one of the regular wheelers here with us at Tri-State 4x4, and he made each trip all the more exciting. Always optimistic and carefree, Rick taught us all how to live for the moment and enjoy life to the fullest. Our prayers are with his wife and his family.
RIP Rick

I've never met the man but from what I hear from all the people who have, he sounds like a great guy and a loyal friend to have. Today @ paragon we went and hung around his rock. Earlier this morning the paragon backhoe took the mound off from behind his rock. So there prolly won't be anymore people trespassing on his rock.

I met Rick only one time on the April or May `05 PAP outing. It was the first time wheeling with TriState for both of us, but it sure wasnt Ricks first time wheeling. I was brand new and had never wheeled before in my life. Rick was awesome! Telling me throuout the day to take my time and travel at my own pace, he would follow me to give me "breathing room" so I didnt feel all pressured. He was just a super nice guy with a fantastic sense of humor.
I and my g/f Jen are extremely downed to hear this totally unexpected news.
Rick, we didnt know each other well at all but for some people you need only meet them a few minutes and they become your friend. Rest in Peace.
I also want to extend my sympathy to Rick`s wife Jen and their son. Im sure Rick is sitting in a Rubi, pearched atop some heavenly rock looking down on you both, always with you.

I have to say I'll miss Rick dearly on our trips ... Wheeled with him just about every trip .... He was the kind of guy you only had to meet once and you were buddies .... My deepest sympathy to His Wife and Family ... He was a great guy and gave a good name to our club and sport. On to the big trail ride in the sky .... RIP Buddy ....

I just spent the last hour and a half reading every post made by Rick. Makes me truely regret I did not make it to more of the monthly rides to have known him better.
