Just picked up a 1984 F250. Auto, 5.0, carbed, utility bed, and a floor that resembles Swiss cheese. Only 56,000 miles!

Anything I should really look out for on these things? It's gonna be sitting for a while until i fix the floor and tough up some spots with Bondo. Just want to get rid of any bugs now, ya know?

You think that 5.0 302 is going to be enough power to pull your XJ? I am putting a Chevy 5.0 305 in my YJ and at times it might not be enough power...

I think it should be enough. If not, I'll just sell it. Only cost me $750

You could sell the utility body and buy a standard bed for it for about half of the price. That would free up about 500lbs to help the 5.0 get you around a little better.
