My club, East Coast 4x4 Experience (www.ec4x4e.com) is riding at Rausch Creek on Saturday, January 8th.
I wanted to extend an invite to any and all who are interested. We will have two groups (stock and those running blue/black rated).
We only ask that you meet the minimum requirements of two points front and rear, a CB, and a full size spare. Passengers must wear seatbelts as well.
Joining our club is NOT necessary nor is it expected of you. If you enjoy yourself and want to learn more about us, we would enjoy that as well.
There is a caravan leaving the Exton, PA WaWa at 6:30am on Route 100 (Pottstown Pike). If you want to meet up there, please let me know.
James (jadams68@verizon.net)
I would love to come... but I dont think it would be worth the drive for my stocker to hit the trails and I dont have a CB anymore... sold it this morning I was not thinking...

Your best bet is 81 North... We don't pick up 81 until the exit before Tower City (which is for Rausch)... We take back roads.

Back roads, huh? How long does it take you to get there? We got caught up in an accident on 81 yesterday on the way home.
I have to start school now, so I can't make it then. And I have to fix my CJ from yesterday there. Look for pieces of my mirror laying on Jotter's Way. It'll be under a tree with the imprint of the side of my hood and windshield.

No problem Rick... bummed you won't be there tho...
From Exton it takes 1 hour and 15 minutes to get to Rausch...
We go Turnpike for 1 exit to Morgantown, then I-176 West to 422W to 183N (Bernsville), to 501, to 81 north for 1 exit.

Yeah it probably would be out of your way to meet up with us in Exton.
I would shoot up 81 to the Tower City Exit

Only times I've gone there we've taken the turnpike (NE Extension) to 78 to 81. It can take almost 3 hours. :( I'll have to try that next time I drive myself up there. My lack of overdrive kills on the highway.

I must apologize, but I cannot attend this ride and most likely there is no caravan now from Exton. I had to prioritize something that came up suddenly.
There will be more rides I promise.

That's alright the chances of me being able to go are slim due to trying to put shackles on the back of my xj gotta cut them off to get the new ones in so mine is down for the moment since the whole back suspension is loose as hell but if something changes tomorrow i should be able to go.

don't worry guys...you didn't miss much. got up there and there was ice EVERYWHERE!!! a group of us got there around 9 and lynn informed us that some of the EC4X4E guys went out to do a litttle scouting and see what the park was like. and from what i understood they couldn't even find a way in there was that many trees down. so we didn't get to wheel at all anyway
