Cruise Night

I was talking to a Local owner of an place called "Izzys" the other day about having a cruise night at his place. He said we could. I think this would be good for us Jersey people. Most towns have places where every week or once a month they have either a bunch of old cars or motor cycles that gather for cruise nights. Well why cant we do one for 4X4's.

It would be like a meet and greet. They have great food there and there is a ton of places to show off your rigs.

I figured on Wednesdays or Saturdays would be the best.

I am going to have some shirts made up and I will see what else we can do. The place is right on 206 in Andover exit 25 off of rt 80.

Exactly what I was thinking. I will be working on the details in the next few weeks since I will be in Canada for a month for work.

Did you ever get your stickers made up? I am about to order more freeride stickers and I can ask my guy if he would cut us a break.

So, that puts it North of the light in the center of Andover at the Rte 517 Jct. Go 2.6 miles North and it's on the Right ( Or East side) of Rte 206.

Technically it's in Springdale. About 200 yards south of the light at the junction of Springdale / Greendell Rd County Route 611. Next to a small Used Car Lot.

I'm new and all here so being no one knows me, I'm coming from staten island but enjoy driving so the distance wouldnt bother me. Wednesdays are great for me since I work a 3 day work week, sun-tues. This is a great idea. Its cool to be a part of something like this.

Ok sorry didnt get back to everyone.. Yes it is the Old Stewards Root beer place on 206 North right next to the old car dealership. I will call the owner and set a date. I think at first the monthly thing will be great. then once it gets larger adn larger we could do it once a week Like some of the other towns do.

I think we should not limit it to Just 4x4's but we could have any type

I have an idea.... Let's make it the second week of each month.... This way it breaks up the month. We usually wheel on the last Saturday of each month..

It usually works best if we see where the majority leans towards..

How about posting a vote to see where the best interest lies.

Post up a vote for Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday..or more if you like..

We need to post a time too. After we pick a day them we can vote on the time of day... Like 6 or 7 pm...

Everyone feel free to post their opinions. It helps to have input..

I think Bob had said that he was going to be out of town on business for a month, so I don't think it would happen before the January trip.

Wow... I can't believe how close so many of you are. I would actually consider putting insurance and registration back on my jeep for this. Sounds like a great idea. I'll either be there in my YJ, my dodge or the wife's TJ. But one way or another I'll be there. Also, you have one vote for Saturday here.

Well guys, i have found another place that may be of interest to go. I have heard of a place called Pub 199 on Rt 517 in the hackettstown area from some coworkers. I was told thatthis would be a great place for our cruise night. Al maybe you could check it out for us? or maybe you already know the place?

I'm there just about every weekend, either friday or saturday night. If anybody knows the original pub 199 in mount arlington it's the same owner. I dont know if it's the best place for a cruise though. most nights the parking lot gets pretty full. Funny thing is it's only 2.4 miles from my house(dont ask me how I know)

Izzys is on Rt 206 NORTH in Andover NJ. Most people will be comming on RT80 get off on EXIT 25 go threw 6 Traffic lights approx 8 to 10 miles. and it will be on the right side of the road.

the chatterbox resturant at the route 206 and route 15 intersection easy to find and they are open late. big parking lot to. they have cruise nibjts their with other groups on the weekends.. its about 15 min. north further up 206.

Just a thought, it's not as sexy as Chatterbox but we could always meetup in the Shop Rite shopping center on 206 in Byram. Theres a McD's, Subway, Pizza and Chinese. There's always plenty of room somewhere in the lot for a group 10-20.
