Need gears done? Good deal?

For the price it seems kinda fishy. Eithor they do a really bad job and just slap gears in there, or they're so professional that they can get it done within a few hours and get it correct the first time.

or as they say, its a special and they are making a limited time deal, i think its a great deal for someone who needs to regear ... just so long as you find outthat the guarentee their work beforehand, if the ywill not stand behind their work (in writing) then it may be a bit fishy, but for that price, if i needed to regear i would definately look into it

3 letters trc :wtg: joes doing my gear install for close to that, i think he could even be cheaper if you brought him the axles out of the truck. and you know damn well he'll stand behind his work

Yes that is correct Dave If I have the axles brought to me and all I have to do is put in the gears and carrier I will do it for cheaper. (why?) Mostly because of time if I do not have to pull off all the brakes and axle shafts and so on it is less time that it takes me do the work. less time by me saves the customer money. I also like this because I like to steam clean the housings when they are out of the vehicle to be extra sure all the dirt or metal is removed.
