We know that the Jeep are popular and the best but who has some other vehicles they want to add

I would pick the Old Souts with the V-8 and d44 front and rear although leafs has a lot of potential.

If you look at those pictures close you can see what seems like old tech for keeping air in your tires. Like the Hummer wheels but with a tube out the outside. Pretty cool!

if i remember correctly, that semi is being used either for fighting fires or as a logging semi i dontremember which, qand yes the lines to the tires are for air pressure, each tires air pressure can be controlled from in the cab with the puch of a button! would be awesome if somehow the lines could be run on the under side of a jeep or somehow out of the way!

Jeeps are the best, hahaha, Joe your a funny guy!! You of all people should know its not what you buy, its what you build. How about a Toyota 4x4 with full width 60's on 37s or 38s? cant get better than that.

Better than a yota? I beg to differ, lets wheel and I'll show ya how well a Toy handles the trails and I'll even pull ya out when ya get stuck on an obstacle. And shut up Shawn you know how capable my truck is, if I remember right I walked right up that trail you couldn't get up and over last time we went up stag and dont give me that bald tire BS :)

My friend Greg said the SAME thing, about 30 minutes before we took an hour getting him out of a 18" deep puddle... granted he broke through the ice, but Karma nonetheless :) BigRedZJ was there, I'm sure he remembers it well. Don't get me wrong though, I've got nothin against Yotas, they are pretty good, I just prefer my Jeeps.

Ahhh, the jeep versus toyota debate!
Just remember you both need FORD parts to make through the tough stuff without breaking ;-)

Dana 60's for those of you who didnt get that

hahaha al i was thinking that same thing everyone saying this is better that is better, but almost everyone has some kinda chevy (14bolt) or ford (d60, some d44) under their truck. Some even go as far as putting in a chevy motor or a ford motor at what point does it no longer become the name on the sheet metal

Obviously I think my TJ is the shit, Rodney will tell you his Zuk is the best and your not going to convince Joe that your rig even stands a chance against his XJ. Guess what... Were all right because we built them the way we wanted, and for the type of trails we drive.

But.........if You had to drive a totaly stock rig through a tough trail I would have to say the Jeep Rubicon would be my choice. I cant think of another rig with lockers, 4.0 low range, 31" tires with decent tread, and solid axles from the factory.

Toytrk85
12-13-2005, 01:36 PM
I'm not trying to start a debate on who's is better. if you like your jeeps thats cool, I like my toyotas. and like I said earlier in my first post into this thread, its not what you buy but what you build --- that includes the Rubicon, yeah its a very capable rig from the factory, but what fun is buying an off the shelf wheeler? I as well as prob 95% of the guys on this board have poured hours ontop of hours into their rigs and know every inch of it. The process of building our rigs to suit our needs is all part of wheeling in my opinion.

at this time I dont have any ford/chevy parts in my truck. The only reason I would add either is for full widths if I wanted to go for a wider track width which I might do down the road. Of course I'd have to go to D 60's since my toy axles are about equal to D 44's and I would want something a lil stronger if I was gonna go thru the hassle.
