But i am interested. Me and a friend (that has a 100% stock XJ) are thinking of cutting his fenders and installing some TJ flares. So i definately wanna see some done, before i take some metal snips to his jeep.

Very nice flex! If you live in NJ, better get some flares. They will fine you for having tires outside the flares. Ask SDutter he got hit with a $200 something fine for his tires very little outside flares in PA.

Well becareful, because even if you live in NY and you get pulled over in NJ they can fine you for the flares too. Thats just how it is.

That NYS inspection is lame........ It's still Independent and Easy.. If my Zook can pass it then just about anybody with a lift can pass .. I'm at 10" over stock with 35's .....

thats my gf"s hand, and trust me, its got paragon all over it, i just repainted the front fenders cause i cut em and didnt want it rusting on me... ;-)

well i just had joe at trcoffraod put a long arm kit on and some other stuff, i just got the 33s on so this is an update...going up maybe another 1.5 - 2 inches. ;-)

well i got the flares on yesterday then tested them, they past the test, just a little trimming so they dont get ripped off.

used the flares off my red jeep, cut to my liking, painted em black, screwed em on and called it a day, they were free too... ;-)

ok today with the help of fatmanonlilbike we were able to get a few things done before i go to paragon...

mounted a jeep yj tire carrier on the roof compliments of bob. (fatmanonlilbike)
mounted the high lift jack on the roof.
then cleaned up my flares as my tires were hitting them on every bump.
hooked my airhorns up but the fuse blew. fixing tomorrow
fussed with the sway bar as it was a real pain in the ass to put the discos back on, did some adjusting and they glide on like butter now.

and for tomorrow were cutting the back piece behind the rear tire as when i flex the tire rubs the metal and hits the tire, not cool so i have some diamond plate were gonna fix it up with, maybe even some rocker panels... and what ever else we can think of...


well some pics of the progress today, im real happy cause this opens up so much room in the truck for me.

haha Thx Justin i did nothing lol just went on my wall a dif way and farther back ill get some better pics up tomarrow or friday i still have no rear flex but im working on that and once i put in my shackle lift and get my longer shocks i should be fine i could have gone back more but my front shock maxed out but we will just have to see what happens...

ok we did the back corner pieces behind the wheel, the passenger side came out real nice and it was the first side i did, then moved on to the drivers side and as i start to work on it i noticed its all rotted and some bondo, until i get more time and material ill clean up the drivers side when the time comes, for now it should clear the tires, i still havent gotten to the u-joints ill do that next week.

the first pic is before i started and the next is before i painted it, by the next time i got another pic it was to dark to show the finished product but u get the idea.

yep yep....

lol there was more then a little bondo lol but it will work for the weekend and then we will work on it after that.

cant wait till i get my steel to make my cage and rear bumper
